About Asterwild
Asterwild is first and foremost an independent natural medicine practice that creates retreats and facilitates private and group psychedelic experiences.Because these emergent services do not exist in a vacuum, we are also invested in current and future waves of psychedelic culture, particularly how we convey psychedelic stories and meaning to ourselves through language, media, thought, law, and design. Our work brings together licensed psilocybin facilitation, breathwork, retreats, and creative inquiry. We are interested in consciousness and its relationship to the arts, imagination, personal agency, and the choices that give shape to our lives. We believe these experiences deserve curiosity, discernment, and care, rather than prescribed meanings or promises of transformation. They can offer opportunities to examine familiar assumptions, encounter unfamiliar perspectives, and explore new ways of thinking, creating, and being.Beyond individual experiences, Asterwild is interested in the culture surrounding psychedelics: the art, music, ideas, environments, and forms of gathering that might contribute to a more imaginative and thoughtful future. We welcome people of all backgrounds, with a particular interest in artists and others pursuing new projects, moving through personal or creative blocks, and exploring how to bring more imagination, agency, and intention into creative practice and everyday life.Asterwild was founded by Paul Gachot, a licensed psilocybin facilitator in Oregon and Colorado, with a background in film, writing, and the creative arts.
